War and Order Castle 41 Upgrade Cost: The Sacred Castle Jump to 43
War and Order Castle 41 and up: 710,200 azurite from a full Castle 40 to Sacred Castle III. Why the jump is so steep, and why data stops before Castle 45.
Updated: November 2, 2026
The short answer
Going from a fully built War and Order Castle 40 to Castle 43, which is Sacred Castle III, costs 710,200 azurite. The three steps are 137,000, 215,540 and 357,660. If your other buildings sit only at their Castle 40 minimums, with Barracks at 40, the same climb is 807,440.
Our data stops at Castle 43. If you were looking for Castle 44 or 45, neither level appears anywhere in it, so we give no figure for them and will not guess. All these numbers come from the Planner's data and have not been checked in the game.
| Step | From a full Castle 40 | From Castle 40 minimums |
|---|---|---|
| Sacred Castle I (41) | 137,000 | 186,790 |
| Sacred Castle II (42) | 215,540 | 247,650 |
| Sacred Castle III (43) | 357,660 | 373,000 |
| Total | 710,200 | 807,440 |
How big the jump really is
Compare it with everything before. Taking all nine main buildings, Castle included, from level 31 to 40 costs 1,106,380 azurite in the Buildings data. The three Sacred steps cost 64% of that, for three Castle levels instead of ten. Put another way, Sacred Castle III's step alone at 357,660 is more than Castle levels 31 to 40 themselves, at 343,410.
The Castle is not the main reason. Sacred Castle I to III cost 220,000 together, only 31% of the climb. The rest is buildings, and the prices step up sharply at the Sacred tier. Castle itself rises least, while Barracks nearly doubles.
| Building | Level 40 azurite | Next level | Azurite | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Castle | 54,610 | Sacred Castle I | 65,000 | +19% |
| Wall | 24,700 | Wall 41 | 39,690 | +61% |
| Barracks | 17,500 | Sacred Barrack I | 33,330 | +90% |
| Hospital | 15,340 | Sacred Hospital I | 24,650 | +61% |
| Depot | 8,910 | Sacred Depot I | 14,850 | +67% |
Where the azurite goes
Here is the 710,200 split up, starting from every listed building at 40. Sacred Tier is the piece most worth planning for. It takes 268,000 azurite in three levels and has no earlier levels you could have spread it over. The data requires Sacred Tier I for Castle 41, II for Castle 42 and III for Castle 43. Its upgrade records ask for Castle 40, though the Planner's minimum mode only allows one Tier level per Castle level from there. Either way, at Castle 40 you can start on Tier I, and its price of 72,000 is larger than Sacred Castle I itself.
| Item | Azurite | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Sacred Tier I to III | 268,000 | 37.7% |
| Sacred Castle I to III | 220,000 | 31.0% |
| Wall 41 and 42 | 84,260 | 11.9% |
| Sacred Barrack I and II | 70,760 | 10.0% |
| Sacred Hospital I and II | 52,330 | 7.4% |
| Sacred Depot I | 14,850 | 2.1% |
Why the last step is the hardest
The steps grow because requirements pile up. Sacred Castle I needs only the Castle and Sacred Tier I from a full Castle 40. Sacred Castle II adds Wall 41 and Sacred Depot I. Sacred Castle III adds Wall 42, Sacred Hospital I and II, and Sacred Barrack I and II. That is why the last step is 2.6 times the first.
If you are coming from the minimums, the first two steps are bigger, since you still owe Embassy levels up to 40 and Depot levels up to 41 along the way. For the full list of what each Castle level asks for from 35 upward, see our Castle requirements guide. This post is only about the top of that list.
Resources drop away, azurite does not
Food, wood, stone and iron matter less up here. Sacred Tier, Sacred Hospital, Sacred Barrack, Sacred Depot, Wall 42 and Sacred Castle III all list azurite only. From a full Castle 40, resources only come from Sacred Castle I, Sacred Castle II and Wall 41.
One warning about this table. Sacred Castle I and II are listed cheaper in resources than Castle 40, and Wall 41 is cheaper than Wall 40, which would be unusual. These rows may be wrong, so treat the resource totals as unconfirmed.
| Step | Food | Wood | Stone | Iron |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sacred Castle I (41) | 276.9M | 276.9M | 80.0M | 42.8M |
| Sacred Castle II (42) | 217.6M | 374.6M | 96.9M | 50.8M |
| Sacred Castle III (43) | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Total | 494.5M | 651.5M | 176.9M | 93.6M |
| Castle 40 alone, for scale | 411.3M | 411.3M | 134.3M | 79.6M |
What is not counted, and open questions
Check these in the game before committing azurite:
- Guardian Temple 9 costs 50,000 azurite and is not in our totals. Its record says Castle 41, while the Planner's milestone says Castle 42.
- Sacred Barrack III is listed at 42,040 azurite, but no Castle step asks for it, so it is left out.
- Depot differs between records at Castle 42: the step list asks for Depot 41 and the upgrade record asks for Depot 40. We use the higher value, which costs 14,850 azurite more.
- Hospital 40 is in the Castle 43 record but in no step list. We include it when counting from the minimums.
- Wall 43 can be selected in the Planner, but the data has no cost for it.
- Barracks at 40 for Castle 41 and 42 is the Planner's floor, and the upgrade data does not confirm it.
Work it out for your Castle
Enter your building levels on the Planner's Castle tab to see what is still missing for each Sacred milestone, counting only levels you have not done. Buildings shows the cost of one building across any range and can send the azurite total to the Azurite Calculator for a finish date based on your income.
