About the Formations tool
Pick an event and a formation, enter your March Size, and the tool gives the troop count and tier for every group in the lineup. It holds 53 formations across eight events: Anubis, BOX, Elite War, Fiend Trial, SOS, Speed Attack, Star Ruins and Undead.
BOX, Elite War and Anubis follow a fixed rule. Smaller filler groups stay at 500 troops whatever your March Size, the largest frontline group takes a percentage rounded up to a whole number, and the largest backline group takes the remainder. At a March Size of 350,000, BOX Even Cav / Mages gives 140,000 Even Cavalry, 206,500 Even Mages and seven groups of 500.
The other five events scale each group by its share of the template, and any rounding leftovers are spread so the total always equals your March Size. Elite War Flank and Speed Attack templates are not built for a full march, and the tool warns you about them. If a March Size is too small to cover the 500-troop groups, it falls back to splitting by ratio.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the best BOX formation at 350,000 March Size?
- The tool does not rank formations. It tells you how to fill the one you choose. For BOX Even Cav / Mages at 350,000, that is 140,000 cavalry, 206,500 mages and 500 in each of the seven filler groups.
- Why are some groups always 500 troops?
- In BOX, Elite War and Anubis, the tool treats template groups of 5,000 or fewer as fillers and fixes them at 500. A larger March Size goes into the main groups, not the fillers.
- How are Angels handled in Elite War?
- In Core formations, Angels keep their template share, about 25.5%. In Flank formations, they take the remainder, because the backline is only filler. Both are assumptions we have not confirmed in the game.
